In this blog I will be explaining why you should get an album of your wedding photos. I am really passionate about seeing my work printed on paper so I wanted share some of my thoughts!
Printed photographs just look better
Most people these days use smart phone technology to view photos, it is very convenient as it is so easy to view share photos with friends and family this way. The downside is that by doing this you really aren’t getting the full potential out of your wedding photographs. You will never see all the pixels in a photograph unless you print, the image files from a modern camera are so large that the resolution of a smartphone screen just isn’t enough to display your photos correctly. In addition, printed photos have a much better colour and range of tones, when a photo is printed, it is displayed to look in the way which the photographer intended.
Printed photographs are bigger!
By printing you can print in range of formats and go as big as you like! With modern camera sensors which often produce a minimum of 24 Megapixels , you print images with dimensions up to 20“ X 13” without losing any image quality. This means that in your album you can print the extra special moments across a full page, it will look stunning!
Printed photographs feel amazing!
When I am designing an album for a client I use Pic-time, who allow me to create an online gallery for the client and then prepare an album from the clients’ favourite photos, it is brilliant! The album builder allows me to select the design and materials used for the album, you can choose from different paper specifications too! So you can make it very personal and tailored for your own needs.

I think a lot of people are put off by the idea of printing their photos because it is time consuming and just don’t understand how to get the best results. Have no fear, I am more than happy to do all the work for you. I will sit down with you over a coffee and we can talk about how you want the album to look, materials used etc. Your photographer will also really appreciate it if you take this route because they will get the best results for you, because they will know the maximum size each image can be printed for example. It’s a win-win situation!
