Wedding Photography at St Mary’s Church, Slough - Margeaux and Jordan's beautiful Catholic Wedding Ceremony in Berkshire

The first Wedding that I Photographed of 2020 was beautiful, an amazing way to kick off the new decade! It was a great challenge for me as I was only hired about 24 hours before the big day! I felt good that I was able to hold it together and remember everything under the pressure from the schedule to the important shots the bride wanted. The wedding took place in the huge, and beautiful Catholic St Mary’s Church in Slough, Berkshire.

It was also the first Wedding I've shot all on my own! I usually work with another photographer, which means the pressure isn't just on me to be in all the right places at right time. However, I did really enjoy the pressure and responsibility, I was completely lost in the moment doing what I love!

I only found out on the day of the Wedding that it was a Philipino Wedding, I quickly learned about some of their traditions including their strong Catholic faith, but my favourite tradition was when the guests pinned £10, £20 and £50 notes onto the bride's dress and Grooms suit, which I am sure helped them fund their romantic trip to Athens in Greece!

There was a beautiful purple colour theme to the entire day, from small details to the wedding cake, which was also purple! In the intimate portraits after the main ceremony I captured the theme of the day by using a purple ribbon on the Rolls Royce wedding car as the foreground of the photo whilst Margeaux and Jordan kissed. See photos below to show the theme throughout the day, it was such a lovely touch to see this colour theme alot of thought and hardwork was clearly out in, big shout-out to whoever was involved!

Lastly, a big shout-out to Marriott Hotel in Slough for such an awesome venue and staff! Thank you for keeping me well fed so I didn't have to shoot on an empty belly!!
